It’s been a really long time since I posted anything here. I have had a crazy six months with two deaths in our family and surgery and other medical procedures. It’s taken most of my energy to just manage and recuperate. The good new is that I am on the mend and looking forward to share what I have learned through this experience.

The importance of keeping your finances in order and preparing for life’s events has been brought home to me in a poignant way.

I am excited to share what I have learned and help you to re evaluate your situation and take action where needed or congratulated yourself on a job well done.

One little tidbit for today. What is your PIP on your auto insurance policy? PIP stand for Personal Insurance Protection. It is what is going to be paid first out of your policy.

In any accident were medical assistant is needed, it is what will be paid first out of your policy regardless of who is at fault.

If you are at fault and there is not another vehicle involved it is all that will be paid on your expenses.

Standard PIP is $3,000.

I am speaking from personal experience when I tell you the cost of an ambulance is going to be more than half your PIP.

You can increase your PIP coverage. It is going to cost you a little more but insurance is all about transferring risk. The price will be minimal compared to an accident where you are at fault and there is no one to pick up the bill after your PIP is exhausted.

Take out your policy today and take a look at your coverage. Make a phone call and ask a few questions and see what options you have.

No body like to pay for insurance but the ramification of not protecting yourself can find you in financial hardship and legal problems that will cost far beyond the minimum you will pay for a little extra coverage. 12552746_1065876116797745_9041078978792875261_n
